WHAT EVEN IS PAIN?

Pain is a warning sign!

Types of pain

When pain starts, your whole spine compensates by altering your normal spinal posture. Curves and twists set in. Your discs slowly weaken and narrow, narrowing the space around the nerves and causing yet more nerve root irritation, inflammation and pain. Medication, ice and heat mask symptoms but bring only temporary relief.

Gradual loss of spinal joint function with long-term poor posture stops joints moving properly and can lead to compression of the nerves where they exit either side of each spinal joint to supply muscles, organs and tissues.

Sayer Clinics’ team of chiropractors, osteopaths, physical therapists, acupuncturists and massage therapists is organised and resourced to combat the pain caused by these conditions.

We use standing, weight-bearing, low-dose, digital x-rays to detect narrowing of discs, scoliosis, degenerative joint disease, and extra bone growth around the joints caused by long-term poor posture. Close analysis of the data guides us in developing a personally tailored program to safely and effectively retrain your entire posture.

We help you achieve proper spinal function so chronic inflammation, poor nerve function and the misery of chronic pain become a thing of the past.

Put your health first — Sayer Clinics will help you do the right thing!

ABOUT SAYER CLINICS

The Sayer Clinics were founded over 30 years ago by our chairman Michael Durtnall.

In that time we have freed many thousands of patients from the misery of back pain, poor posture, and scoliosis. Some say we have transformed their life.

Our team of chiropractors, osteopaths and physical therapists uses spinal manipulation and mobilisation and pilates-based exercise to

▪ Correct excess spinal curvature and rotation

▪ Improve spinal rotation, back shape and profile

▪ Restore postural balance and muscle strength

▪ Enhance spinal flexibility and function

Our treatments are essentially hands-on, backed by high-grade modern imaging techniques that let us analyse your individual issues and accurately track and guide your progress.

Our aim is also to enhance how you feel about yourself by re-setting your perception of your own body. You will learn how to sit, stand and move efficiently and gracefully. Your new positive, healthy, upright posture will become a habit as muscle memory takes over from learned behavior.

The Sayer Clinics are located in Central London and offer appointments from early morning to late evening on weekdays, and on Saturdays.

You can book online here, or speak to Alexandra or Lucie on 020 7937 8978.
