I am a 39 year old mother of two children living in London. After 7 years of chronic pelvic pain since the birth of my first child I have finally had a huge breakthrough with a wonderful, dedicated chiropractor called Dr Michael Durtnall at the Sayer Clinic in Kensington.

In 2004 I had an emergency c section as my two week overdue daughter was found to be face presented. The hospital was busy and my section was delayed. By the time I was being operated on, my poor baby was pulled and tugged and dragged out by forceps. Thankfully she came out without a mark. but unfortunately, my sacrum was fractured and I suffered extensive nerve damage. In the first three months I had terrible lower back pain, I had to feed my baby lying down (not great with a colicky baby!) and could barely walk my back pain was so bad. I was also numb on my left buttock and down my thigh. I also had bowel and bladder incontinence. After being sent backwards and forth to specialists at the hospital, a neurologist finally ordered an MRI scan which found the fracture and nerve damage so I immediately began intensive physiotherapy for 18 months.

I then had my second baby by elective c section to avoid further sacral pressure and I was much better afterwards. Pilates pretty much kept my lower back pain manageable until the last year but I still battled bladder and bowel issues and thought I had irritable bowel and an overactive bladder.

In early 2011, 6 years since the birth of my first child my symptoms suddenly grew worse. We were living in Sydney and I had terrible spasms in my bowel which were excruciating and severe aching that drove down my legs. I also suffered bowel and bladder incontinence and pain after intercourse. The bowel spasm pain was so bad I was admitted twice to hospital and put on a morphine drip and had every test imaginable. In late 2011 I was finally diagnosed with Pudendal Neuralgia and was put on Endep 10mg daily and was still on morphine orally most days which made me feel ghastly. The Endep did seem to help for the first month then seemed to lose its effectiveness. I did find some relief lying on a hot water bottle.

We moved to London in late December 2011 and I was literally crawling round unpacking boxes and wishing I could go to bed and not wake up. It dawned on me I had had no quality of life for nearly a year. I faced the fact I would probably have to make trips to France for treatment and an operation. Whilst investigating this option I came across the Sayer Clinics website and read about chiropractor Dr Michael Durtnall. I telephoned immediately and managed to get an appointment quite quickly.

I have seen maybe 6 chiropractors in the last 7 years and I can honestly say I was absolutely blown away by Dr Durtnall's professionalism, knowledge and expertise. He left everyone I have seen in the past for dust. I have five sessions with Michael in the last two weeks and I can honestly say that my pain is 75 % better already. I have only resorted to taking painkillers on one occasion in the last 15 days since first seeing him.

For the last two weeks I have finally had my life back. I have had very little pain, my bowel and bladder symptoms have virtually disappeared and I feel alive and energetic again. I am very optimistic Dr Durtnall can help me manage my body. I owe my new found pain free happiness to Michael's incredible dedication and expertise.

I cannot recommend chiropractors Dr Michael Durtnall and Dr Robert Griffiths more highly. They have a remarkable level of expertise and skill that is safe and extraordinarily effective. They have provided me with serious relief from pain and dysfunction.
On my last visit I saw Dr Robert Griffiths, he manipulated my neck and to my astonishment the shoulder pain that had been with me for the previous eighteen months immediately reduced by about 90%! I had been involved in an accident, some eighteen months previously, and had been diagnosed as having a brachial plexus traction injury. A rather large lump of calcium was additionally diagnosed as sitting on the supraspinatus tendon in my shoulder. Although the calcium had been injected and this had certainly helped, I simply couldn't relieve the constant shoulder pain, until this manipulation. My neck has a tendency to 'stiffen up' and indeed this has happened to a certain degree over the past two weeks and perhaps as a result of this, the shoulder pain has partially returned. It is however nothing like it was before and thus I am happily returning to The Sayer Clinic for another session!

I came to see Sayer Clinic chiropractor Dr. Bob Griffiths as a "chiro-sceptic." As cliched as it sounds, I had tried everything else to resolve my back and shoulder pain. I started as Quasimodo; 7 weeks later, my posture is significantly improved and the pain has dissipated - for the long term. Thank you.

I would like to thank Robert Griffith for the brilliant therapy I received from him recently. I have had problems with my lower back for 20 years and as time has gone on have been advised that I should give up exercise, particularly running, however exercise is the one thing I can't live without. What I liked instantly about Robert was that he was quick to diagnose my problem and dispel many of the myths I had been told by other practitioners. He also advised after only a couple of months of therapy that I could continue with exercise if I adequately cared for my back and continued to strengthen my core muscles in the way he had taught me. Many thanks Robert for all your help and knowledge!

I saw Rob Griffiths recently for pain in my lower back/hip - actually my SI joint. I'm in my early 30s and it was quite scary to be in so much pain, especially because I'm pretty active so the prospect of not being able to do all the stuff I take for granted was depressing. From the first session Rob was really kind and reassured me that we would be able to get it sorted. He did some x rays which revealed the true extent of my poor posture and that I have one leg shorter than the other, which explains why I walk a bit funny (this was later denied by lying friends). Rob fitted me with some orthotics to correct this and taught me some core exercises to help me maintain a better posture. As my body re-aligned itself I found I had other areas of pain in my back which he sorted out for me through manipulation and acupuncture. Rob was also really friendly, and chatting to him helped distract from some of the physical discomfort of the sessions.

After about six weeks the pain was almost completely gone and I was able to pick up all my hobbies where I had left off. I stopped seeing Rob a few weeks ago, and since then I have also noticed that I'm able to be on my feet all day without feeling stiff, and am generally more comfortable when out and about. I'm really grateful to Rob, not only for reassuring me and fixing the problem I went to him with, but for helping me gain a better understand of my body and how to take care of it.

I was recommended to see Rob Griffiths by a friend. I had seen an Osteopath and although the treatment was helping I was still in a great deal of discomfort. I actually thought that I was going to just have to live with the discomfort and pain. I went to see Rob and after a few sessions I started to see the benefit. I would recommended Rob to anyone who is considering seeing a chiropractor. Friendly and very professional. Although I hope not to have to visit again I would defiantly go back to Rob if I need to.

I first went to see Rob Griffiths in June this year when I was in considerable pain after slipping a disc in my upper back. It was the first time I’d gone to a chiropractor and I was a little nervous about what the treatment entailed. I needn’t have worried. Rob is a highly-skilled and empathetic practitioner. He kept me fully informed at all stages about the treatment and together with some really helpful exercises, I am now virtually symptom-free and on the road to full recovery. Thanks very much Rob for your patience and expertise.

I was recommended chiropractor Dr Bob Griffiths by a friend. She swore by him. I was a little cautious, as I had heard chiropractory and anything to do with your back must be treated with caution. Well, when I saw the tall striking figure of Dr Griffiths greet me at his Broadgate clinic I knew I was in safe hands. Big safe hands. He has an exceptional bedside manner, it would make Florence Nightingale look like Stalin. He is warm and a wonderful listener. I felt comfortable, and being naturally inquisitive, I was asking every question I could think of. Dr Griffiths knew all the answers, and has a way of conveying them in an easy-to-understand way. After a few initial sessions, where through guided commentary I was aware of the procedure he recommended, I was cracked about and manipulated to ease the pain. The pain I was suffering from was in my lower disc. I had torn it slightly. I had bad posture, and bad habits. Dr Griffiths coaxed me into a healthier way of conducting my daily routine of sitting at a desk, then on a sofa, then in a bed, then at a desk, and so on. Around 6 or 7 sessions later and I was noticing real improvements as I was conducting the core exercises he taught me and doing as he said. I trust him. What he says is working. He's fixing me and making me feel so much more mobile and ready to tackle anything. A real gentleman, a real doctor. I want to thank Dr Griffiths and the whole Sayer Clinic for the professional and excellent service they have afforded me over the last few months. The best in London. Probably.

Just two weeks prior to a charity cycle ride from London to Paris (for which I had been in training for several months) I felt my right groin muscle tear whist dismounting my bicycle. This was the one thing I hadn’t planned for.

The Google Gods however smiled upon me for they delivered me to Sayer clinics' chiropractor Dr Robert Griffiths. As a fellow cyclist, Robert fully understood the problem. He was adamant on the first visit that I will be able to complete the long ride. Two weeks of intensive therapy later incorporating massage, adjustments, laser, acupuncture (and I’m now suspecting voodoo black magic) and I set off from London to Paris.

I made it - Thanks to Robert’s work. I couldn’t recommend him more. His methodology draws on all the effective eastern and western practices to deliver outstanding results. Thanks once again Robert!

I came to chiropractor Dr. Robert Griffiths two months ago suffering from excruciating pain due to Sciatica - I had suffered from limited movement and was very concerned that I would need surgery for my prolapsed disc. From day 1, Robert instilled confidence in me that if I followed his instructions, my pain would significantly reduce. I cannot praise Robert highly enough: From the spinal manipulation and other techniques to the helpful advice on orthotics, to his helpful exercises and other advice, the results are clear to see: I am almost entirely pain free.

Robert is very knowledgeable , is utterly happy to impart this knowledge and you feel that nothing is too much trouble for him. I would recommend Sayer clinic and in particular Robert Griffiths with no hesitation to anyone suffering from similar conditions. Thank you, Robert.
