Esra is a highly motivated physiotherapist who received her Bachelor’s degree for Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in 2014, and her Master’s degree for Neuromusculoskeletal Practice at the University of Nottingham with distinction.
Esra is a renowned specialist in both the academic and clinical sectors of physiotherapy. Most notably, Esra has published papers on chronic pain management, osteoarthritis and pelvic floor dysfunctions in international journals based in the UK, Turkey and the US. She has been asked to speak at the American Congress of Rehabilitation and Medicine (ACRM) in Chicago.
Esra is at the top of her field when concerning chronic spinal pain management. She applies a variety of hands on manual therapy techniques and provide her patients tailored exercise programs. She gives regular seminars to the public, both in Turkey and the UK, about how to effectively manage chronic back pain. Esra blends biopsychosocial methods into her assessments and evaluations of clients, as well as offering them a range of home practice techniques. This is applied alongside manual therapy, soft tissue massage, deep tissue mobilisation techniques, myofascial releasing technique, kinesio taping methods and trigger points therapy.
Esra is a Turkish national and she is the author of the blog We Need to Talk which discusses her transition to a UK clinic. Her blog centres around sexual dysfunction and taboos present within separate cultures; she tries to increase awareness about serious pelvic issues. She is also a member of Pelvic Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy.
Esra is an Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI) trained Pilates instructor. Regularly, she frequents advanced Pilates courses in London, helping her learn and teach expert techniques. She has certificates in different levels of mat-work and ante-post natal Pilates. Using her expertise, Esra delivers a range of physiotherapy techniques in EC2, W1 and Kensington W8, providing her patients with the best treatment outcomes.
